Patented map-based messaging combines with AI and sensors to improve waste management!
LOS ANGELES, CA – MAY 31, 2019 – Los Angeles based TipTags and Israeli company GreenQ are combining forces to improve operations for waste management companies by increasing efficiency of truck operations. Introduced by YairVardi, co-founder of Fusion LA, CEOs Tim Roberts and Shlomy Ashkenazi immediately saw the value of combining map-based messaging with sensor generated data and AI to improve efficiency and lower costs for waste management companies.
“I know from my own experience how inefficient waste hauling has been in my own community”, says Tim Roberts, TipTags CEO. “When I learned how GreenQ is using sensors and artificial intelligence to make truck operations more efficient I knew this was a system with a big market in the United States, and that our map-based messaging could allow drivers and customers to have input as well, adding data which is presently lost.”
Shlomy Ashkenazi, CEO of GreenQ, has this to say about the partnership; “GreenQ has always been striving to create the best value for our customers. While our platform provides a holistic view for managing waste pickup fleets, TipTags connects the missing link for interaction between the manager and truck staff. The partnership between TipTags and GreenQ creates a powerful offering with unique and robust insights to any waste pickup fleet. GreenQ is excited to launch with TipTags, a well-known player in the space, and on a personal level, I am positive this will prove to be a successful partnership.”
GreenQ’s monitoring device, GreenTrack, was installed and tested by a city of 120,000 in Israel. Data analysis found 3 major areas of improvement with significant results. Overall the smart truck system lead to a reduction in costs of over 50%, and to the city installing the smart truck system on all their city trucks, and a monitoring station where truck operations and waste collection is tracked in real-time.
TipTags’ patented map-based messaging system allows users to create, preserve and share information placed on a map with down to the doorway accuracy in real time. Turning a map into a real time data sharing system has multiple benefits for waste management companies, allowing drivers to record data about operations which is normally lost, and customers to share information about what they need, exactly where they need it. This information is available to GreenQ’s AI system to further improve efficiency.
Together TipTags and GreenQ are bringing the benefits of lower costs and greater efficiency to waste management companies across the United States. Look for first implementations this summer.

Making garbage trucks smarter:
Our platform collects real-time data on the waste pickup process, without any need of manual activation, Hardware is installed solely on the garbage truck and eliminates the need for adding sensors to the bins. We design our advanced technology to meet the needs of municipalities, collection vendors, and system integrators.
Why are we here:
GreenQ, a young innovative company, established in 2015 has a clear goal of bringing efficient technology to the waste management space. Through our strategy to create sustainable and efficient cities, we enable a better quality of life
What do we do:
We’re all about the Internet of Garbage (IoG). We’re bringing sensors and big data analytics to residential garbage routes so municipalities can reduce expenses, reduce emissions and provide better services to their citizens.
