Adisun + Ed Sets Goal of Donating 150,000 Backpacks of School Supplies

New York, NY – Aug 14 2020 – August is National Black Business Month and in honor of that designation, the black owned retailer, Adisun + Ed is launching a campaign to donate 150,000 packs of school supplies. With every purchase, a backpack filled with school supplies will be provided to students in need around the world.

The COVID-19 pandemic has created financial difficulties for families and threatens educational opportunities around the globe. Due to the pandemic, 85 percent of schools worldwide have closed, while others have transitioned to online learning. It doesn’t matter whether students are attending traditional classes or learning at home, they still need school supplies to complete their work.

The founder of Adisun + Ed understands the value of education. She is a Carl Icahn Scholar, Bill Gates Millennium Scholar, MLK Jr. Scholar and was awarded over $500,000 in scholarships for her high school and college education. Her personal passion is to give back and the current pandemic brings an increased sense of urgency.

Known as the Warby Parker of fashion, Adisun + Ed is one of the first female black-owned online retailers with a social entrepreneurship model of buy-one-get-one. The founder began with a simple vision – to blend fashion and charity -with the belief that learning should happen year-round to enable future self-sustainability. She wanted to remove obstacles by giving tools to students in need around the world.

Adisun + Ed provides shoppers with a simple, modern guilt-free shopping experience. Individuals will discover curated collections of home décor, handbags, and clothing with empowering messages.

With remote work becoming the new normal, having a stylish office backdrop is the equivalent of “dressing for success”. The new home decor collection was created to bring walls alive with uplifting art and chic conversational pieces and is the bestselling category for customers looking to show off their insta-worthy decor.

Adisun + Ed is working to help students around the world that have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. During National Black Business Month, the company is asking you to shop, to help donate 150,000 packs of school supplies to students. Giving has never been easier.
