Demeter Fragrance Library Launches Unscented Hand Sanitizer to Combat Shortage

Selinsgrove, PA – March 27, 2020 – Demeter Fragrance Library, www.demeterfragrance.com, a leader in producing fragrances inspired by memory, today announced that it is launching a hand sanitizer to help address the high demand caused by COVID-19.

Demeter Fragrance will initially launch an unscented sanitizing spray using a formula approved by the FDA that contains 80% Ethyl Alcohol, the active ingredient that kills germs on contact. In the near future, Demeter hopes to add lightly scented versions in limited scents. Consistent with their core values, Demeter Fragrance will price its hand sanitizer at the retail prices they would have established if there was no pandemic and shortage of sanitizer.

Mark Crames, CEO of Demeter Fragrance commented, “We know that these products have become almost impossible to source and we’re proud to contribute to offering a feeling of safety with our hand sanitizers.” Crames continued with “Through this initiative, we’ll also be donating hand sanitizers to first responders within the Selinsgrove PA area, where our factory is located.” 

Demeter Fragrance will also allow governmental and health care entities only to purchase the hand sanitizer at wholesale prices.
