Thousand Oaks, CA – Hago Energetics Inc., a startup company focused on development of scalable solutions to climate change,  today announced that the United States Patent and Trademark Office has issued US Patent 10,589,999 covering conversion of waste carbon dioxide to useful products, such as liquid fuels and commercially viable carbons. This technology is applicable to recycling carbon dioxide from any industrial source, such as electricity-producing power plants, chemical factories, and agricultural farms.

Carbon dioxide accumulation in the atmosphere represents one of the major challenges of our time. Excess carbon dioxide is leading to global warming with subsequent long-term damage to planetary ecosystems and to well-established weather patterns. Carbon negative approaches aim to withdraw excess carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and place it below ground on a permanent basis or convert it to very long-lived forms of carbons. The recently issued patent describes a carbon negative method for capturing carbon dioxide from point sources and converting it to a variety of economically viable products, including liquid fuels, activated carbon, biochar and carbon black.
