JoyQuest Wellness Systems introduces a Free VR product to help deal with the changes of COVID19

Coeur d’Alene, ID – JoyQuest Wellness Systems announces the introduction of ‘Wellness in Place’. ‘Wellness in Place’ is a VR application designed to help people who are struggling with common mental health issues that arise from the COVID-19 pandemic.  

With a backdrop of beautiful, natural scenery, ‘Wellness in Place’ creates a safe environment for self reflection similar to the comfort of a counseling situation. It engages players to evaluate their current situation and choices and encourages them to make positive life changes. The initial launch version offers 3 different 10 minute therapy modules.

This VR application was designed by renowned psychotherapist Kari Joys MS and the JoyQuest Wellness team and produced by BlocksmithXR, in Boise. It is currently available for download via SideQuest and will soon be available via Steam and HTC’s Viveport. 

Kari Joys has always felt a strong purpose to make a positive difference in other people’s lives. She has been a successful psychotherapist in private practice for 35 years and she has helped thousands of people change their lives for the better. Joys has also authored three books on finding natural joy and lightheartedness.

Joys’ psychotherapy experience includes counseling for stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, couples, family and divorce issues. Joys developed the JoyIAm Heart-Centered Process for Integrative Psychotherapy, including affective, cognitive and behavioral approaches. This JoyIAm Process serves as the foundation for the ‘Wellness in Place’ VR application.
