Boston, MA – July 16, 2020 – To meet the new needs of chiropractic in the marketplace in light of the pandemic, Humanistic ChiroCare Consultants (HCCC), the next-generation chiropractic services, opened this month. HCCC is a multi-service firm offering virtual and onsite consults in Roslindale and Framingham for individual patients, onsite corporate wellness support for local corporations and businesses, as well as insurance claim, independent medical examinations, and patient advocacy support for attorneys and imaging centers.
HCCC Founder, Dr. Gil Weiner has been a chiropractor for over 40 years. His undergraduate studies were at Hofstra University and then attended New York Chiropractic College. He practiced in Puerto Rico from 1978-2007 and has been in the Boston area since 2008. He is bilingual in English and Spanish.
Dr. Weiner is a Fellow of the Federation of Chiropractic Licensing Boards, and a licensed Shiatzu Therapist / Instructor. Most recently he received a Chronic Pain Interdisciplinary Treatment certificate from University of Minnesota. He holds certifications in TMJ, cranial manipulation, trigger point therapy, shiatsu, sports strapping and taping, applied kinesiology, ergonomics, and Tai Chi for Arthritis.
In Puerto Rico he was the go-to chiropractor for elite triathletes, marathoners, tennis players, Miss Universe pageant winners, two major ballet companies, and martial artists. He worked to develop specific workout programs to benefit his patients in rehabilitation and for optimum performance. Working with dental specialists treatment was provided for TMJ patients and lectures were given at the dental school concerning alternative and supportive therapy for TMJ. Dr. Weiner has published studies on the topics of myofascial trigger points, Temporomandibular joint dysfunction, and cranial manipulation. He was the host of a spanish language TV show, “Cuidate” (Take Care) where viewers were introduced to local specialists discussing the health issues of the day and has appeared on various TV and radio programs in Puerto Rico and in Massachusetts discussing chiropractic and health.
His accolades also extended in the classroom as a professor of anatomy and physiology at The InterAmerican University School of Nursing. He taught continuing education courses at Universidad Central del Caribe’s medical school presenting Shaitzu and Meridian therapy as well. Dr. Weiner was a founding member of a group that opened the first chiropractic clinic within a Puerto Rican hospital providing manipulation under anesthesia. He ran two industrial clinics providing treatment, consultation, and lectures concerning ergonomics, and workplace safety.
Clinical pathways and protocols exist to guide patient care. Dr. Weiner’s particular expertise is patient-centered relationships and a holistic humanistic approach. “I see myself as a patient partner and advocate. It is crucial to investigate the patient’s entire life environment. This includes attitudes, expectations concerning themselves and their pain, work activities, home environment, and social support networks. This helps one tailor unique treatment regimens to provide the optimal benefit possible. This ensures my patients have the best opportunity for recovery and I have been able to do this time and time again and mentor others for decades.”
