With a Bold New Look and Guest Editor Influencer Renee Cafaro!
New York, NY – Plus Size fashion magazine FabUPlus is back in print this month and with new leadership at the helm and curve supermodel Liris Crosse on the cover. Get ready for the holidays in 2020 with 60-pages of trends, celebrities and helpful gift guides – focusing on small and black-owned businesses. For those who are dreading New Year’s Resolutions, the Quarantine 15 stress, and the “new year, new you” media blitz, FabUPlus offers an antidote preaching radical self-love, mental health and self-care. In this issue, a licensed Health at Every Size® therapist answers readers’ pressing questions, such as advice to combat diet culture and how to maintain a safe relationship with your body through the holidays.
New Guest Editor-in-Chief
Shannon Svingen-Jones led the Canadian-founded magazine since its inception but will be stepping down in 2021, ushering in an elite group of guest editors. For the print issue in 18 months, FabUPlus brought on plus size influencer, writer and style expert Renee Cafaro as the first Guest Editor-in-Chief. Cafaro has appeared on many network affiliates across the country, Today Show, Tamron Hall, and has been published in The New York Post, Yahoo!, Huffington Post, and InStyle, just to name a few. She is also known for her authentic content on Instagram as FoxyRoxyFashion spanning issues of body image, eating disorders, activism, equality, fashion and travel. “I am honored to have been asked to step in to fill Shannon’s shoes and thrilled to show readers my take on FabUPlus. I was inspired by the edgy magazines like Sassy and Jane of my 90s youth, bringing readers a healthy mix of thought-provoking articles, emerging artists, fresh trends, and a no-holds-barred aesthetic,” She said of what to expect of the Winter issue.
Project Runway’s Liris Crosse, who graces the December cover, models festive-yet-comfortable looks perfect for a quarantine, COVID-safe holiday at home. The plus size community will see many names they recognize like Erica Lauren and Ashley Nell-Tipton, and will be introduced to the most inspiring stories of other familiar faces in the More Than a Pretty Face feature, profiling 8 phenomenal women.
The winter issue of FabUPlus is available now at select Barnes & Noble and Books-a-Million stores and also available for purchase on www.FabUPlusmagazine.com
