Publerati Celebrating Ten Years Of Publishing Literary Fiction With New 2021 Releases

PORTLAND, MAINE – March 9, 2021 – Book publisher Publerati is celebrating its 10th anniversary this March and is announcing several new titles. Publerati was founded in 2011 with the mission of publishing and representing writers of literary fiction, while also donating all titles and a portion of sales proceeds to Worldreader to help spread literacy.

Over the past ten years, Publerati has published authors Ellen Cooney, Susan Sterling, Lakshmi Raj Sharma, Don Trowden, Douglas Penick, and others. Titles have been praised by notable authors including Richard Russo, Helen Fremont, and Alyson Hagy. Founded by Caleb Mason, whose publishing experience includes bookselling and working at Little, Brown and Company, Publerati operates like a traditional publisher, but pays higher royalty rates than most traditional publishers. The Publerati contract pays authors 40% of ebook sales and 20% of paperback sales. Each title is produced in a branded design look, along the lines of the New Directions paperbacks and Penguin Classics. This is done to help readers easily identify the social goodwill benefit of reading fiction from the Publerati collection, with all titles and a portion of proceeds donated to Worldreader. Each title stands on its own while also being part of a collective with a social purpose, offering authors more exposure than they might receive based on their own title alone.

Publerati is kicking off its 10th anniversary in May with the release of the novel Summer of Love and Evil by Michael Kinnamon, set in Iowa in 1967, as Vietnam, drugs, and corporate farming are transforming the region. The author is a leading ecumenical voice urging people to practice acceptance and proactive welcome of all faiths. The former General Secretary of the National Council of Churches, this is his debut novel. Additional upcoming novels include works by Lorine Kritzer Pergament, Otis Bulfinch, Murray Lee, and Anna Blauveldt. Publerati is located in the beautiful state of Maine.
