Safe Rx Names Consumer Business Senior Vice President and General Manger

New executive is recognized leader in launching consumer products.

GREENWOOD VILLIAGE, Colo. – Oct. 14, 2020 – Safe Rx, a company on a mission to fight America’s opioid epidemic and drug abuse with its award-winning Locking Pill Bottle (LPB®), today named Jason McGowin as its senior vice president and general manager for consumer products.

McGowin brings more than 20 years of marketing, innovation and strategic development experience to his new role, with a proven track record of launching and growing consumer product brands. At Safe Rx, he will lead the retail and direct-to-consumer business for the company’s consumer product line, including its award-winning Locking Pill Bottle (LPB®), a patented, physician-developed, child-resistant and senior-friendly certified safe storage solution.

McGowin previously served in leadership roles at both start-up and large consumer product companies including Danone (formerly, White Wave Foods) and Intuit. In his previous roles, McGowin developed growth and innovation strategies resulting in increased sales, brand equity and profitability for both small and large businesses. He has launched more than five new consumer product platform innovations from product concept to recurring national distribution in mass, club and grocery retailers such as Target, Costco and Kroger. He holds a master’s in business administration from Stanford University and a bachelor’s degree from Middlebury College. McGowin will be based in the company’s headquarters in Greenwood Village, Colo.
