Submer raises $12 million from international investor

Submer is proud to announce a closing of $12 million from international investors.

The investment mainly comes from:

  • Norrsken VC, the Norrsken Foundation VC arm backing high-impact scalable tech companies founded by Niklas Adalberth, the co-founder of Klarna.
  • A US-based co-investment from Tim Reynolds, a retired co-founder of Jane Street Capital. Tim experienced the data center efficiency, density and cost challenges and saw in Submer a great solution to these problems.
  • And a follow-on investment from Mundi Ventures.


“The Series A fundraiser, represents for Submer the perfect opportunity to bring forward our ambitious and necessary mission to build ‘datacenters that make sense; bringing high efficiency, density and sustainable innovation for datacenters anywhere in the world’,”
 said Pol Valls, co-founder and CIO of Submer.

“In the last couple of years, we released 5 different iterations of our main Immersion Cooling solution, always driven by two fundamental principles: designing a solution environmentally friendly and, at the same time, highly efficient and ‘smart’ for our customers’ business. In that sense, becoming a Platinum Member of the Open Compute Project Community, is a clear declaration of our intent to help the industry find more efficient and practical solutions”, added Daniel Pope, co-founder and CEO of Submer.

Submer was founded in 2015 by Daniel Pope and Pol Valls, to make operating and constructing datacenters more sustainable and efficient.
