A Pan-Indian heart wrenching sports drama “Arjun Chakravarthy” is said to make its release in 2021 under Gannet Celluloid

It’s a real life story, and Arjun Chakravarthy is a hard-hitting piece which is set in the 1980s. This movie is said to make its release in different cinemas across India.

The movie depicts the life and struggles of a kabbadi player from the 1980s, who represented India. This movie is produced by Srini Gubbala under the banner Gannet celluloid and has been written and directed by Venu KC.

The film features debutants Vijaya Rama Raju and Sija Rose in the lead roles while Ajay, Dayanand Reddy, Ajay Ghosh and Durgesh are part of the supporting cast.

The movie has been shot for over 2 years across 125 locations in India including Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir as revealed by the makers and the crew. Currently the movie is in its post-production stage.

The protagonist went through several physical changes to portray the life journey of the character at different stages of  life, right from childhood to middle age.

Also, the movie was set in a village that is said to look very authentic like the life from the 1960s & the 1980s. The Hyderabad town set from the 1960s was created and assembled by Sumith Patel and his art department. Extensive research for about two years went into the making of these sets.

The makers are pretty confident about the film and they stated that this film has rustic & raw imagery, picturisation, music and the character’s journey will win hearts of the many.

ARJUN CHAKRAVARTHY is being shot in Telugu and Tamil simultaneously and is also being dubbed in Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada aiming for a PAN INDIA release.
