Ocean State Construction, Inc. has signed renovation contract with Freedom City Properties, LLC

Providence, RI – Ocean State Construction, Inc. has announced that it has signed a renovation contract in the heart of Providence, RI’s Atwells Avenue Renovation District, just 1 mile from Providence Place on the corner of Atwells and Harris Avenue.

“We are pleased to announce that we will be rehabilitating and renovating the old Capital Records Building at 431 Harris Avenue. This building is a real landmark in Providence and has been neglected for several years. All of that changes today,” said a spokesmen for Ocean State Construction, Inc. “We are also procuring a rendering from Fairfax and Sammonsa renowned award-winning historic brick specialist.”

The renovation project, owned by Freedom City Properties LLC, will be the home of New England Cabinets in RI.  New England Cabinets has developed a strong footprint in Massachusetts and looks forward to launching in the Rhode Island market. Additionally, more than 50,000 sq. ft of space is available for development in the building. The two companies have discussed creating a construction and design center among other things that includes a contractor’s showcase, and multiple alternative products.

“We think it’s the start of something big, and we are looking forward to bring additional revenue to the area, as well as participating in the rehabilitation of a building of such size and magnificence,” said the spokesman.
