SupaEarth Records Launch set to ‘Rock the Discotheque’ with Ruff Diamond

July 19th, 2018 – Manchester, UK – Supaearth Records launches with ‘Rock The Discothèque’ release from label boss, Ruff Diamond.

SupaEarth founder, Ruff Diamond aka Chris Robinson, is a multi-million selling record producer and DJ. His credits include Aaron Carter, Beyonce, Che’Nelle, Estelle, Jonn Hart, Keith Sweat, Mark Morrison, Shapeshifters, Teedra Moses and many more. His catalogue features releases on Capitol, EMI, Sony, TVT, Virgin and Universal – before making the decision to launch an independent label in his own image.

SupaEarth is hailed as a label offering a blend of Funk, Nu-Disco & Four to the Floor. Ruff Diamond talks about the release, “being inspired by labels and parties such as Glitterbox, I wanted to make original records that pay homage to the retro funk and disco I grew up on, whilst injecting a futuristic feel and energy to rock the dance-floors of today – ‘Rock The Discothèque’ hits all the spots”. Ensuring maximum funk, Ruff Diamond enrolled the talents of Electric Diplomat on synths, with New York vocalist, Lord K.C.B. providing VIP edits for some of the worlds most coveted DJ’s. Electric Diplomat is the brain-child of British musician, Tim Vine, known primarily as a pianist having performed at many prestigious venues ranging from Central Park to Buckingham Palace, Madison Square Gardens to Hollywood Bowl, Glastonbury Festival to the Royal Albert Hall. Tim’s debut novel entitled ‘The Electric Dwarf’, is due for release in 2019 “A glorious, comedic tour de force, united with a dark and thrilling story no reader will want to miss” says Jen Hamilton-Emery at Salt Publishing.

The full ‘Rock The Discothèque’ package includes Lempo and 80’s Child on remix duty. Manchester (UK) DJ & producer, Lempo aka Mike McGuinness, is becoming a prolific remixer with over 20 number one sellers across various download stores, including official remix commissions for artists such as Snoop Dogg, General Levy and Dawn Penn – He also founded the Applique Music label in 2011 and hosts the popular ‘Twisted Melon’ show on Cafe Mambo Radio. Lempo describes his remix “It’s good fun, an underground club mix with jacking vocal work and full on New York House feels. The original parts were a pleasure to work with!”. Warrington (UK) DJ & producer, 80’s Child aka Danny Worrall, is building a solid reputation within the Disco world, having founded the Masterworks Music label in 2014. 80’s Child delivers a retro-futuristic breakdance vibe described by Danny as “a modern day dancefloor Boogie Jam”.

Early showing of support from Horsemeat Disco, Andi Durrant (Kiss FM) and Danny O (Café Mambo) suggest this will be a popular record with DJ’s across the board. ‘Rock The Discotheque’ is released exclusively on Traxsource and Spotify from 1st August 2018, then all major download stores and streaming networks on 8th August 2018.
