Introducing: the Monad Calendar-Clock app (Prototype)

And Announcing a Kickstarter Campaign to raise money to complete the Event Manager.

Nevada City, California – May 14, 2020 – The Monad Calendar-Clock app (Stage 2 Prototype) has been in development for 5 years.  It has many useful and impressive features, and can be downloaded from the App Store.  Dr. Keith Whitten, the inventor, is launching a Kickstarter Campaign May 15 to raise money to complete Stage 3 programming of the Monad Event Manager, a powerful new event-recording and scheduling program. 

Monad does something no other clock or calendar does; it tells planetary time and date.  Monad features a three dimensional planet Earth (with a GPS-placed time zone-spanning hour hand) at the center of a time and date-telling celestial sphere. The value of the Monad Event Manager is that it shows personal events (represented by event-wedges placed around the number dial) in the context of planetary events we all share, like sunrise and sunset on the “Twilight Dial,” the location and phase of the moon, the seasonal progression of the sun along the ecliptic and the location of the stars and planets. This enhances memory recall when it comes to later retrieval of the event.  Each event-wedge is associated with an event-page, where information about the event is accumulated. The Monad Event Manager has several unique and valuable features, including the ability to record events “in the now;” and the ability to create complex event-pages with multiple links that can be easily searched and summarized.  Monad has a Health Event Mode based on the principles of Chronobiology, a field of biology that studies periodic (cyclic) phenomena in living organisms and their adaptation to solar- and lunar-related rhythms.  Health data (Steps) imported from the Apple Health app (HealthKit) is used for display within the Monad app.
