Rackspy Goes Undercover to Highlight Little Known NY Boutiques

New York, NY, USA – Jan. 22, 2018 – While people in the city go about their normal business,Rackspy members are going under cover to bring attention to smaller shops and boutiques that don’t typically appear in online searches. Rackspy provides a free platform where tourists and local residents can discover unique stores and specialty shops that consumers might otherwise never find.

Whether it’s a tourist visiting the Big Apple for the first time or a local resident, almost everyone turns to an online search to find the products and services they desire but smaller businesses are at a disadvantage. Smaller shops and boutiques don’t have the budgets and resources to compete with chain stores and designer brands to place themselves on the first page of online searches.

Rackspy is working to change that with a network of individuals that volunteer their time to search out smaller businesses and weekend markets in locations ranging from Brooklyn and Long Island to SoHo. At Rackspy, shoppers will learn about neighborhood shops featuring exclusive jewelry lines, handcrafted gift items and indie fashion designers.

The members of Rackspy’s undercover network have a passion for shopping and searching out the hidden treasures of the city. No featured store or boutique on the website is ever asked to pay for being listed in the online guide. Shoppers will also learn about any sales, discounts and new arrivals being offered by the shops in the City that Never Sleeps.

Local residents also have the opportunity to become a Rackspy and undertake their own mission of discovery. Individuals can bring public attention to the unique shops and markets in their area by sharing a link on the Rackspy website.

Among the finds in the city that are featured on Rackspy is the Grand Bazaar in the Upper West Side, Chuckies Brooklyn, Muleh in Chelsea, and Repetto in SoHo. Also highlighted is Lady J +1 in Prospect/Crown Heights, and The Eight Senses and Flying Solo in SoHo.

The newly launched Rackspy network makes it easy for locals to locate unique shops and tourists to find the boutiques for souvenirs, fashions and home décor items that makes New York one of the most popular cities in the world.
