Body Damage? New Technology saves days and dollars

It’s a sunny morning in Laguna Hills, California. Owner=Operator Brian Jump is greeting a line of clients 5 deep as they patiently wait to either drop off cars or get estimates.

And this is an average day, Brian says. “We can get as many as 10 people waiting and I will pull service staff up to help get them taken care of so they can get on with their day.”

Why the rush? Because Brian and Dentco are offering a unique service in a category of 1. Minor autobody/cosmetic services for scratched or dented cars, with service often completed in just one day. And at a fraction of what big box bodyshops charge.

Since they don’t do heavy collision they can avoid the heavy repair equipment and leases, passing along the savings to their clients. “We focus on just a niche within autobody repair, and we can provide a better repair than bodyshops due to our unique processes and agility”. Brian explains further, ”Say you have a dented quarter panel with scrapes and a scratched bumper. Most bodyshops would cut out and weld in a new quarter panel, creating a huge cost and potential for rust down the line, where we will paintless dent repair the damage and then repaint, saving the customer time, money, and preserving the value of their car.”

And with a lot of people selling their car in this unique pandemic driven automotive bull market, the attraction gets even better:” When you bring the vehicle to us, we don’t report to carfax etc. unless you choose to use your insurance – this allows you to maintain your vehicle history instead of showing a repair and reducing the resale value considerably”, Brian says.

And Brian and Dentco are not only a service center- they run classes to teach others these unique and powerful processes. “The market is crying for new PDR techs and micro spot repair techs, and we often try and hire our own students, but they usually already have a job waiting or their own business setup elsewhere”, Brian explains.

The last of the 5 clients are serviced with the line now gone, with two people driving off in their newly repaired vehicles- one a Honda Accord and the other a new Tesla. They seem happy, and they should be. They just had their vehicles repaired in record time and at a fraction of traditional autobody rates.
